报告一内容摘要:
This Talk reports on a study of developing a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) control strategy that can simultaneously control indoor air temperature and humidity by varying speeds of both compressor and supply fan in a DX A/C system, using ANN-based modeling and control approaches. The development of an ANN-based dynamic model for the experimental DX A/C system is presented, linking the indoor air temperature and humidity controlled by the DX A/C system with the variations of compressor and supply fan speeds. Using the ANN-based dynamic model, an ANN-based controller served by the experimental DX A/C system was developed. Also, an ANN-based on-line adaptive controller has been developed to further address the problem of limited controllable range for the ANN-based controller. The controllability tests for the controller were carried out using the experimental DX A/C system. The test results showed that the ANN-based on-line adaptive controller was able to control indoor air dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures both near and away from the operating condition, within the entire range of operating conditions, and with high control accuracy.

报告二内容摘要:
Dissipation is inevitable in practical problems and Whitham (a famous international expert on nonlinear waves) has pointed out that one of basic problems which need to be concerned for nonlinear evolution equations is how dissipation affects nonlinear systems. Therefore, it is a meaningful job to carry out the research on traveling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations with a dissipation term, and to reveal the effect of dissipation on nonlinear systems.
In this talk, by using the theory of planar dynamical systems, undetermined coefficients method and the thought of homogeneous principle, we present the existence of bounded traveling wave solutions, the evolvement of solitary wave solutions, and the solutions for the compound KdV-Burgers equation.
