报告人简介：

Charles Hirsch is a fellow of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Sciences and Arts, and he is professor of VRIJE UNIVERSITEIT BRUSSEL (VUB), Department of Fluid Mechanics. He also acts as the  president of EU in EU-China Aviation Cooperation Committee, and member of the NATO Research Technology Organisation (RTO)-Applied Vehicle Technology (AVT) Panel. He has been Honorary Professor Xi’an Jiaotong University in Xi’an of China since 2004. Prof. Ch. Hirsch is the founder and researcher of NUMECA International, and member of the Board of Directors of the company TURBOWINDS.
His main researches include aero acoustics、computational fluid、dynamic methods (CFD) for internal and external flows、internal flows in turbo machinery、turbulence modeling、aerodynamic research in aerospace、development of wind energy systems and simulation of bio-fluid dynamics systems and so on. He received founding chairman of ERCOFTAC, European Research Community on Flow, Turbulence and Combustion, and founding member of ECCOMAS, the European Committee on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences
