报告摘要:
Since the origin of man, material science developed to create tools and devices by using simple material, then mixture of different metal then mixtures of different molecules, and today the temptation is big to use biotechnologies. It is common today to read papers explaining that the future will be organized by using “Green materials”, but it is less common to have information about the real need for these new materials and also about the new risks that these green materials could create. Moreover, one domain not often analyzed concerns the problem of new materials for a new way for nutrition. In this talk, we will first try to answer the question: what are the good arguments for clamming that we need green materials? Then, we will show that we will have to solve complex social and ethical problems. Among them, the role of farmers concerning the use of green raw resources to develop materials rather than food will be analyzed. Because nutrition will be the more important problem to solve, we will show how material sciences can help also in this domain and more specifically, we will focus on mechanical methods.
