The University of New South Wales recently launched a “UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarship Scheme” which provides a very generous scholarship package for competitive student to do research under the supervision of some supervisors selected by the University. The scholarship package offered by the University consists of the following:
(1) $40,000 stipend (tax-free) per year over the 4 years of PhD study;
(2) up to $10,000 per year for research related travel over 4 years; and
(3) tuition fee waived if the candidate does not have Australian citizenship or permanent residency status.
The candidates must be competitive, though, who need to demonstrate their capability to carry out high quality research.
